Good news!
This saturday (Aug. 21st), me and the infamous DJ OKKIE will take place behind the wheels of steel in Rotown, Rotterdam. We felt that we should create a nice night for everyone who didn’t get a Lowlands or Pukkelpop ticket in time, so they’d still have a chance to throw around some beers and do some major crowdsurfing.

Yes! It’s that time again!
I’m hitting the wheels at some nice parties this week!

First of all, tonight I’ll be DJ’ing at the UNK party at CLUB 8, Amsterdam. Queer! Fun! Come get some!

And next week (Sunday 1st of August) I will lighten up the silence at the AT NO BIKINI BEACH record release party at Rotown, Rotterdam, where they’ll release their first full length ‘The New Bikini’. Awesome band, and my dear drummer Micha is banging some crazy pots and pans in it.

So no need to spend your weekends sitting on your fat ass. Come dance!

About 2 years ago, I was asked to collaborate in a project by Liesbeth Esselink from Solex, called ‘Solex Ahoy!’. She sailed on her tiny ship all throughout The Netherlands to record bits and pieces with the local pirates she met where ever her ship harbored. Me, being an outrageous bootstrapping scallywag, naturally wanted to get involved in some keelhauling action.
The result is finally here, and you can listen to it below deck.

ON THE SPOT

And yet another new music platform. It’s been launched in the Netherlands last week, and already a lot of people have joined this Spotify thing.
Call me a sheep, but I downloaded it too. It’s actually quite nice. Fast streaming, simple lay-out, and the musicians get paid for each time their track gets played. Not a shit load of cash I guess, but still… Sounds fair.
